Dr. Janevic is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education at the School of Public Health and a Faculty Associate of the Center for Managing Chronic Disease, School of Public Health, and the Population Studies Center, Institute for Social Research.
The goal of Dr. Janevic’s research program is to develop and disseminate community-based interventions to support non-pharmacological chronic pain self-management among older adults from vulnerable and marginalized populations. She is particularly interested in the use of mobile health tools for chronic pain self-management, and community health workers as a way to reach underserved populations with pain self-management support. Dr. Janevic uses community-engaged and mixed-methods approaches in her research.
