Sarah Krein, PhD, RN

Research Professor, Internal Medicine, Medical School


Dr. Krein is a Research Career Scientist at the VA Ann Arbor Center for Clinical Management Research as well as a Research Professor of Internal Medicine and the Rensis Likert Collegiate Research Professor at the University of Michigan. She also has an adjunct appointment in the School of Nursing at the University of Michigan.

Research Interests

Dr. Krein's research interests include the use of mixed-methods and implementation science approaches to improve patient safety and management of complex chronic conditions. One of her specific interests is the use of non-pharmacological approaches to improve management of chronic pain.
