The Opioid Research Institute (ORI), housed at the University of Michigan, is seeking a detail-oriented self-starter to join the team in the role of Data Analyst. Strong analytic, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills are critical to this role.
The ORI was launched by the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Medical School Office of Research in 2023 to catalyze cutting edge, high-impact research that influences clinical practice and policy regarding the opioid epidemic. ORI seeks to bring together U-M experts and external partners and act as a hub for collaboration around opioid-focused research, community engagement, education, and clinical innovation.
The Data Analyst will perform data management, programming, and analysis using administrative claims, electronic medical record (EMR), surveillance, and other data sources. The individual in this position will be tasked with managing and linking these data sources to allow for novel research. Additionally, this individual will assist researchers in determining the appropriate analytical methodology to meet their needs, use various statistical packages, and summarize and interpret statistical results.
