Dr. Cope is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. Her work focuses on understanding the neural and behavioral correlates of substance use in adolescents and emerging adults. Specifically, she uses functional magnetic resonance imaging and behavioral techniques to elucidate individual differences in risk for compulsive substance use, focusing primarily on reward- and cue-processing, impulse control, and Pavlovian conditioned approach and other measures of incentive salience in humans.
