Dr. Allison Lin is an addiction psychiatrist and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry as well as Research Scientist at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System(link is external). Dr. Lin is also Co-Director of MI-ACRE(link is external), Director of the U-M Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Program(link is external), Immediate Past President of the Michigan Society of Addiction Medicine and American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry Research Committee(link is external) Chair. She was also awarded the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientist and Engineers (PECASE)(link is external), the highest honor the U.S. government gives scientists and engineers earlier in their careers.
Her research focuses on identifying actionable contributors and gaps in access and quality of addiction care using large healthcare datasets and developing and testing novel interventions and models of care that can implemented in real-world systems, including through use of telehealth, to improve treatment delivery and patient outcomes.
