Jennifer F. Waljee, MD, MPH is a Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Opioid Prescribing Engagement Network (OPEN) and the George D. Zuidema Endowed Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Healthcare Outcomes and Policy, and is on the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation Leadership Team.
Dr. Waljee is a board-certified general surgeon, plastic surgeon, and hand surgeon, and her research focuses on the optimization of opioid prescribing during surgical care and creating best practices for caring for individuals with substance use disorder during surgical care.
