As the drug overdose crisis continues to reshape families across the United States, a growing number of children are grieving the loss of a parent due to drug poisoning. This webinar will share the latest national- and state-level data on the prevalence and trends of parental overdose deaths and the emerging health, and social outcomes for bereaved children. Presenters will highlight new research from the state of Michigan and Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, to offer a clearer understanding of how overdose loss affects children’s well-being and family stability. Presented by HopeHQ & IRETA. DASH and HopeHQ are both U-M affiliated programs and led by ORI faculty affiliate Dr. Sean McCabe.
