Ponni Perumalswami, MD, MSCR, is a Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine (Gastroenterology & Hepatology) and Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Medical School. In this session, she will review alcohol-related liver injury, evidence-based screening and diagnosis, and integrated approaches to caring for patients with co-occurring liver disease and substance use disorders, with an emphasis on practical, patient-centered treatment strategies.
