Faculty Feature: Carol Boyd and Pooja Lagisetty receive awards at national conference

Two U-M faculty members recently received awards at the 2025 Association for Multidisciplinary Education and Research in Substance use and Addiction (AMERSA) Conference.

Carol J. Boyd, PhD, MSN, RN, FIANN, FAAN received the W. Anderson Spickard, Jr. Excellence in Mentorship Award. Dr. Boyd is the Deborah J Oakley Emerita Professor of Nursing, Emerita Professor of Women’s Studies, an Emerita Research Professor in the U-M Department of Psychiatry and a faculty affiliate of ORI.

Pooja Lagisetty, MD, MSc received the Best Research Abstract Award. Dr. Lagisetty is an Associate Professor at the U-M Medical School, a research scientist at the Center for Clinical Management and Research at the Ann Arbor VA and a faculty member of ORI. She serves as co-director of the Institute’s Research & Data Domain.
