A University of Michigan professor’s recently published paper, “Structure Activity Relationships of the Fentanyl Scaffold: Identification of Antagonists as Potential Opioid Overdose Reversal Agents”, was selected as ACS Editors’ Choice. Published in ACS Chemical Neuroscience, the paper explores “the pharmacology of compounds that behave as highly potent mu opioid receptor (MOR) antagonists” which could provide leads for the development of opioid overdose reversal agents. Jessica Anand is a Research Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and faculty affiliate of U-M’s Opioid Research Institute.
