Michigan Safer Opioid Prescribing Toolkit
This first fully online, comprehensive, evidence-based clinical toolkit was developed to address a deficit in educational resources for clinicians through partnership with U-M and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).

This toolkit was also designed to provide primary care providers, surgeons, dentists, and their patients and/or families with up-to-date resources, guidelines, and strategies for managing acute and chronic pain with medications as well as non-pharmacologic interventions. The content is updated by a team within the U-M Injury Prevention Center.
The toolkit also contains resources to assist clinicians in the care of patients with opioid misuse and opioid use disorder as well as materials related to the care of post overdose patients.
