The Opioid Research Institute (ORI), housed at the University of Michigan, is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Research Fellow to support its mission of advancing impactful, policy-relevant research on the opioid crisis. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Ph.D. graduate or postdoctoral scholar interested in applied research that informs clinical practice and public health strategy.
Launched in 2023 by the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Medical School Office of Research, ORI serves as a hub for interdisciplinary collaboration across opioid-focused research, community engagement, education, and clinical innovation.
The Research Fellow will work closely with ORI leadership and affiliated faculty on a range of projects that span health services research, implementation science, and data-driven policy analysis. Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, contributing to study design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and grant development. The ideal candidate will have strong research skills, excellent writing ability, and a passion for using evidence to address complex public health challenges.
