Addiction Consult Team (ACT)

The Addiction Consult Team (ACT) is a collaborative on-call service that provides evidence-based treatment to patients with substance use disorder admitted to the U-M emergency room and offers training and support to providers involved in their care. The team is composed of a peer recovery coach, a social worker, a nurse navigator, and a physician. The ACTs are composed of and operated by U-M faculty & staff, with a peer recovery coach subcontracted from Home of New Vision (a local nonprofit recovery organization). The program is housed within the U-M hospital.
