School of Public Health-hosted Visiting Professor Event: Dr. Christopher Ruhm, University of Virginia

The U-M School of Public Health’s Department of Health Policy and Management will host Professor Christopher Ruhm of the University of Virginia on campus Thursday, December 5th during which he will present his NBER working paper titled “Despair and Death in the United States”. Dr. Ruhm is a leading health economist with decades of experience studying health policy, aging, and labor market issues. His recent work focuses on the growth and sources of drug poisoning deaths, the rise in obesity, and the relationship between macroeconomic conditions and health.
