The NIH Pain Consortium will convene the 18th Annual Pain Consortium Symposium on Advances in Pain Research: Resilience and Pathways to Recovery in Bethesda, MD June 6-7. The symposium will highlight NIH funded research in the pain field with a focus on understudied populations, physiological mechanisms of resilience and recovery, and advances in biopsychosocial interventions, therapeutics development, and other approaches for pain management and resolution.

Panel sessions will focus on different aspects of the overall theme: Pain Disparities Across Diverse Populations, Resilience and Mechanisms of Pain Resolution, and Novel or Cutting-Edge Therapeutics, Treatments or Approaches for Pain. The symposium will also feature “A Patient’s Perspective” presentation, and a Junior Investigator session.
