Each year, the Child Health Evaluation and Research Center (CHEAR) at the University of Michigan hosts the Susan B. Meister Lecture in Child Health Policy, bringing in speakers from a variety of disciplines to explore important child health topics.

This year the keynote speaker will be Linda Smith, the Director of the Early Childhood Development Initiative Bipartisan Policy Center, and she will speak on the effects of the opioid crisis on children and families.
